my10

We want to hear what God is doing in your life as you do your my10 (your daily 10 minutes of reading the Bible and talking with God).  We’ll be posting Devotionals up from time to time and we’d love to have you  make it apart of your my10. Once you’ve done your my10, submit it below.

Sound of the House Devotion

God loves his church, and we are the church!  God’s church is a place where everyone is accepted.  The way for us to know the sound of Gods house is to spend time with him!

We all have the play-list we are known for, when people think/see/hear us what is the song that plays in their head. What sounds/thoughts do they hear?

When people see you, what are you know for?  Does it represent God well?

What are some ways you can represent God better in your life?

Philippians 4:8-9 says to think about things that true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse…

Our lives should represent God in all we do.  To represent God in all we do we need to spend time with him and let his word get in our hearts.

Are you spending time with God daily?

Challenge:  Spend 10 min every day this week reading Gods word

God’s house is a place for everyone:

Psalm 92:12-13
The righteous will flourish like a palm tree,
they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon;
planted in the house of the LORD,
they will flourish in the courts of our God.

When you plant yourself in God’s house, his word says that your life will flourish!

Are you planted in Gods house?

You can start getting planted by coming every week to church and start serving on one of our teams!

Lets represent God in an awesome way this week!  Lets take it to new levels this week!  Let the world know you love Jesus this week!!

Hey guys, Just wanted to encourage all of you to keep up your daily 10! It's a huge help in every day life. This week God's been showing me that I need to do everything with excellence. We can't be a half hearted generation. We need to be strong in Christ and in everything we do, do it for Him!

Colossians 3:17 says, "Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus . . . "

2 Thessalonians 3:9

Tonite in AXIS Pastor Johnny was talking about stepping up and others will follow. We need to step up and set am example instead of waiting fir someone else to do it. ( like Pastor Johnny said, if not me then who?)

1 Samuel 15:23
"Rebellion is as bad as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as bad as worshiping idols"

Proverbs 1:8-9
"Listen, my son, to your father's instruction and do not forsake your mother's teaching. They will be a garland to grace your head and a chain to adorn your neck."

Parents keep us in line but love us alot. Rebellion is a huge problem and alot of the rebellion is from teens to parents but it doesnt have to b that way. Parents r our 2nd foundation (God being first)so they affect r lives even as we get older. we NEED to respect them.

1 John 5: 14-15 "This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him."

Lately i've learned how easy it is to pray. Now there is a time an a place for long, super spiritual prayers; but praying can be rly easy 2. Throughout the day just like pray little prayers to thanking him 4 the tiny miracles he performs every day. Nothins 2 small! The more we talk 2 Him throughout r day the closer we get to him. He hears EVERYTHING even the small stuff.

2 Samuel 22:2
And he said, the Lord my Rock, and my Fortress, and my Deliverer. The god who is my Rock, in Him I will trust. He is my Shield, and the Horn of my salvation, my High Tower, and my Refuge, my Savior. You save me from violence.

God is our
• Rock-
When I first heard of this one I didn't know what to think I thouht it meant something like God is a rock who just sits there doing nothing. It actually means that God is a firm foundation. This foundation we can build our lifes upon.
• Fortress-
God being a fortress means that we can always come back to Him and He
will be our shelter
•Deliverer-
God delivers us from all of our troubles and when we repent to him for sins he will deliver us from them

Psalm 52:8 "But I am likean olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in Gods unfailing love for ever and ever."

We live on Gods love and mercy that cannot fail and doesn't stop. It's everlasting love that we can rely on. God NEVER let's us down; He is the source of our fruit and sucess.
